John Anderson, head of SME Engagement at Strathclyde Business School has been representing the business school at a number of events recently, including the ScaleUp Institute People, Talent and Leadership Committee meeting on January 28.
Also in January he attended the launch of the Ecommerce ScaleUp programme where he gave a welcome on behalf of Strathclyde while Professor Nigel Lockett, head of the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship, delivered the opening keynote speech, and on January 16 attended the Fintech Bridge event with Fintech Scotland and Fintech Ireland hosted by Deloitte Glasgow. He attended alongside Professor Eleanor Shaw, who presented, as well as Daniel Broby and Devraj Basu of the Department of Accounting and Finance.
February’s events included a parliamentary reception for the Institute of Ecommerce on February 4 where John was filmed for an IoE video shown at the event.
At the ‘Think, Act, Scale’ train the trainer workshop – a Scottish Funding Council-funded project, John represented SBS alongside Emilee Simmons of the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship. He also presented Growth Strategy Workshops at both Edinburgh and Glasgow Productivity Club Scotland conferences on February 27.
