Matt Hannon, Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship, is to have a chapter included in Labour’s forthcoming Local Energy book on Community Energy Finance, planned for launch in late Spring by Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Ed Milliband.

Matt has been awarded £29k by UKRI’s £10m EnergyREV project to deliver a four month project exploring Smart local energy systems for a ‘just transition’, with research being conducted by Stephen Knox. He has also contributed a response to consultation on Draft Offshore Wind Policy Statement for Scotland, in which our report on floating wind was cited by government. Matt was also Interviewed by NordLock Group on potential for floating wind in Scotland and beyond in their piece Offshore Floating Wind Energy Starts to Move into High Gear
