Professor gives STUC keynote on working from home

Professor Phil Taylor of the Department of Work, Employment and Organisation was a keynote speaker at an STUC online event on March 18 which discussed the impact of homeworking over the past year on mental health, equalities and health and safety over the past year.

The event looked both at the present – the need to maintain best practice on home-working - and the future – the health and safety, bargaining and organising challenges of an increase in homeworking. The STUC recognises that there can be benefits to home working but only in the case that changed work patterns are agreed by mutual consent and collectively bargained.
