MBA students take part in leadership skills and project management sessions

MBA students on the Lochan and Lochan 21 cohorts were invited to take part in a summer skills session which was led by Curriculo and which resulted in them receiving a Certificate of Achievement from the Institute of Leadership Management.

A total of 38 students across the two full time cohorts embarked on the course and received their certificates. The programme was entitled "21st Century Leadership: People, Change and Negotiation" and is an accredited ILM course.

David Morrison, Director at Curriculo Solutions, was able to present one of the certificates to student Dominic Mccarney. He said, "I was privileged to be able to present one of the MBA students, Dominic, with his certificate from the Institute of Leadership and Management and I'd like to extend a very well done to all of our students!"

A group of 12 MBA students also took part in a one day workshop with Strathclyde alumnus Deasun O Conchuir and his organisation Scatterwork on project management and project success. Offered out to all global MBA students, the workshop was limited to 12 students and students were picked to bring in individuals from different parts of the world and a range of industries.

The 12 students each brought a current project they are working on in their workplace to the session and were involved in a highly interactive and practical workshop.

Deasun did a PhD in biomedical electronics while at Strathclyde but has also played a role in supervising MBA student project in Switzerland more recently.
