Panagiotis’ research has been instrumental in generating an enabling entrepreneurial ecosystem in the field of technology parks that fosters networking and innovation.

Panagiotis feels that his UK education has provided him with excellent analytical and communication skills, the ability to work well individually and with others, and the ability to seek and critically evaluate material from different sources, showing originality of thought and expression. He is now using his expertise to advise the Hellenic War Museum on how to create an Innovation Museum within the new technological parks in Athens and Thessaloniki.

The British Council offers a prize of up to £2,500 to the winner of each of the main categories in Greece for a professional development opportunity of their choice.

Maria Tsakali, Head Education, British Council Greece, said, "Now in their fifth year in Greece, the Study UK Alumni Awards increasingly attract even more Greek UK alumni who excel in their professional fields. Their stories and successes are a testament to the impact of their UK education in becoming champions and leaders in their chosen professions and a true inspiration for the next generation. The finalists and winners in Greece reconnect with the UK through the awards, proudly represent the Greek UK alumni community in the global UK alumni network and contribute to the strong educational and interpersonal ties between Greece and the UK."

Executive Dean of Strathclyde Business School, Professor David Hillier, said, "I'd like to congratulate our alumnus Panagiotis Kyriakopoulos for winning the Business and Innovation Award. While reading about Panagiotis's career, three words jumped out at me - entrepreneurial, innovation and international. As a business school, we strive to be a place of useful learning and to incorporate these three things - entrepreneurship, innovation and internationalisation - throughout our learning and teaching so it's wonderful to see Panagiotis win this Business and Innovation Award for his work with an emphasis on these three elements."
