First year PhD student Beverly Best, Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship, was recently accepted to participate in the European Academy of Management (EURAM) Doctoral Colloquium 2022, having submitted a proposal on her research project entitled “Digital Technologies as a Catalyst for the Transformation of Female Entrepreneurship in Developing Countries”.

This year the Colloquium will be held under the theme “Leading Digital Transformation” on June 13-14 at ZHAW School of Management and Law, Winterthur, Switzerland.

Beverly said, “I am extremely enthusiastic about participating in this event given the prospects of engaging with scholars and experts from across the globe in various disciplines during the 2022 Doctoral Colloquium.

“I believe that this experience will not only serve to improve the tangible application of my proposed research project but it will also provide a unique opportunity to showcase my study as an important phenomenon. Also, this is deemed urgent given the heightened importance of both female entrepreneurship and digital technology in the range of priorities earmarked for global economic recovery, as well as resilience and sustainable growth during the post this current pandemic period and other emerging global challenges.”
