Inaugural SBS Teaching Excellence Awards
Strathclyde Business School hosted its first Teaching Excellence Awards on May 26. About 50 members of staff gathered in the Learning & Teaching Building to recognise the hard work of staff in delivering some outstanding teaching and learning experiences over the last academic year.

Staff from across all departments were shortlisted for three awards and the winners of the awards were as follows:
- Outstanding innovative pro-social business-related teaching exercise or assessment: Emilee Simmons (Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship)
- Outstanding, effective and sustained contribution to the student learning experience: Juliette Wilson (Marketing) & Tony McCarthy (Work, Employment & Organisation)
- Student support and Building a sense of Community as an outstanding contribution to the student experience: Mouhamad Shaker Ali Agha (Management Science)
In addition, the following tutors were awarded the Dean’s Recognition for Outstanding Support for the Student’s Learning Experience:
- Matt Hutcheson (Management Science)
- Elizabeth McKee (Marketing)
- Victoria Hamilton, Wendy Pring, Rebecca Richardson, Jonathan Tait (Enterprise Fellows team, Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship)
- Jed Moore (Work, Employment & Organisation)
- Yuri Zhukov, Sam Grant, Ross McKenzie (Economics)
