Funding extended for InterAct research

Professor Jillian MacBryde, Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship, is part of the Made Smarter InterAct network.

She and colleague Jan Godsell from Loughborough have received an ESRC-funded extension worth £1.2million to look at global manufacturing. The project will run from January 2023 to December 2024.

InterAct is a £4.4 million, Made Smarter Innovation funded, Economic and Social research Council-led network that aims to bring together economic and social scientists, UK manufacturers and digital technology providers to address the human issues resulting from the diffusion of new technologies in industry.

Made Smarter aims to build a strong, interdisciplinary community where funding can be effectively distributed to researchers who will generate actionable economic and social science insights for the benefit of UK businesses.
