Dr Julia Smith, Department of Accounting and Finance, is organising a Workshop - Accounting and Accountability in Small Business: insights from research, teaching and practice - for 2023, with papers invited to be submitted by November 30.
Submissions for this workshop on May 18 and 19 2023 are invited from PhD students, accounting practitioners, educators and researchers. Given the nature of the topic, it is expected that participants will come from a diverse background, and inter-disciplinary proposals are welcome.
The meeting will cover two days, and will provide an opportunity to share the latest insights from research in the relevant area, and hopefully also on teaching and pedagogic practice. Papers are welcomed that have both practical application as well as research impact.
PhD students are welcome to submit early versions of their work for presentation at poster sessions, and a prize will be available for the best poster session.
Early-career academics will benefit from the opportunity to gain feedback through presentations, conversations and networking.
Following the event, full papers may also be considered for publication in a journal special issue on Accounting and Accountability in SMEs.
