Strathclyde MBA ranked in Corporate Knights Better World MBA 2022 rankings

Strathclyde Business School has been ranked 26th out of 160 MBA programmes evaluated for Corporate Knights’ 2022 Better World MBA ranking, which identifies Strathclyde's full-time MBA programme as “one of the top programmes in the world at instilling holistic purpose in leaders.”

Corporate Knights examines 160 business schools and ranks the top 40. This year’s top 40 MBA programmes represent 12 countries around the world. To determine the ranking, Corporate Knights evaluated 160 business schools, including the 2021 Financial Times top 100 Global MBA programmes, all programmes included in Corporate Knights’ 2021 Better World MBA Ranking, and select MBA programmes accredited by AMBA, AACSB or EQUIS that opted into the ranking.

Schools are judged on performance indicators such as core course integration of sustainability; research publications per faculty member on sustainability topics in calendar year 2021; percent of total faculty publications in 2021 on sustainability topics; number of citations per faculty for those publications; sustainability-focused research institutes and centres; faculty gender diversity; and faculty racial diversity.

Of the 160 schools assessed in this year’s Corporate Knights Better World ranking of the most sustainable MBA programmes, several trends stand out. On a positive note, the top 40 schools as a group demonstrate a growing commitment to infuse sustainability – present in about half (49%) of core content this year compared to 39% in 2021, and well above the average of 22% for all schools.

Toby Heaps, CEO and co-founder of Corporate Knights explained, “Today’s top MBA programmes understand that future corporate leaders will be tasked with integrating social, environmental and economic factors into daily business decisions. By adapting their curriculums, these programmes are equipping students to deal with new realities and challenges already shaping the global business community.”
