Professor John Gennard Prize & Presentations for HRM students

The Department of Work, Employment and Organisation held a prizegiving and presentation event for the Professor John Gennard Award prize winners on November 7.

Rebecca MacKinnon presented her MSc research to current MSc students. She was awarded first prize – the Professor John Gennard Award – for the highest marked Integrated Dissertation and Reflective Research Report 2021/22. Rebecca completed her research with The TCM Group, with whom she now has a full time job.

Second prize winner Scott Nelson joined the event virtually to present his research while third prize winners - Andreas Landsmann, Connor MacPherson, Sandra Sneddon and Christopher Hughes - presented their research posters.

The students all completed the MSc in Human Resource Management and MSc International Human Resource Management. Prize winners’ projects were supervised by Professor Tom Baum, Professor Adam Whitworth, Dr Pratima Sambajee, Professor Phil Taylor, Professor Dennis Nickson and Dr Kendra Briken.

All the presenters went on to graduate the following day on Tuesday, November 8.
