This is part of a larger project funded by the British Council through its Going Global Partnerships: Industry-Academia Collaborative Grant 2022-23 to support entrepreneurial ecosystems in rural India.

As part of this workshop, Sreevas Sahasranamam, Associate Professor at the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship and the lead of the project, will be discussing learning and insights from the project gained through global knowledge exchange roundtables and field interventions in India. This will be complemented by perspectives from academic experts on rural entrepreneurship ecosystems from Utrecht University and VU Amsterdam. Alongside this, there will also be global practitioners' perspectives from rural entrepreneurship ecosystem support organisations such as Community Enterprise in Scotland (CEIS), among others.

Objectives of the workshop:

Sreevas said, “SEWF gives a global platform for bringing together stakeholders and practices on rural entrepreneurship ecosystem building. We are looking forward to learning from global best practices on the building entrepreneurial ecosystem in rural areas through this workshop and influence practice."

Satyajit Majumdar, Professor and Dean, School of Management and Labour Studies, TISS, and co-lead of this project commented, “This is going to be a great opportunity to not only exchange ideas but also to implement for lasting impact. The workshop would showcase sustainable practices of rural communities”.
