November graduations at the Barony

Strathclyde Business School graduation took place from November 6-8 with business school students from undergraduate to postgraduate Masters and research students enjoying their day of celebration at the Barony.

It has been inspirational to hear feedback from our new graduates about the day itself and their thoughts on their various courses – we wish everyone all the best for their future plans and hope to see some of our undergraduates back doing a Masters or PhD in the future.

We were delighted to welcome our students who have studied for their MBA degree at our international centres who were able to join their peers who did their MBA via full time or part time study in Glasgow.

This graduation also saw the first cohort of our Stephen Young Global Leader scholars complete their studies. All three SYGL scholars - Vijay Venkoba Rao, Angeline Ondeng’e and Karen Chukwu - graduated with Distinction. These scholarships in the name of the University of Strathclyde’s Professor Stephen Young, provide individuals with a full fees scholarship and stipend to undertake their studies at our Glasgow campus and the scholarships are the result of a gift from Strathclyde alumnus and international entrepreneur Dr Charles Huang, a former doctoral student of Professor Young. Angeline and Karen are now staying on to complete their PhD in International Business at Strathclyde.
