Award for SBS visiting professor’s work

The International Financing Review (IFR) is one of the leading providers of global capital markets intelligence. Each year, it recognises organisations through its highly coveted IFR awards, recognising success in global capital markets.

Arthur Krebbers, visiting professor at SBS, works as head of corporate climate and ESG capital markets with NatWest. Recently, NatWest Markets was named winner of IFR's ESG Insight Award 2024 with Professor Krebbers quoted in the IFR magazine for the work he does. The academic partnership he has with Strathclyde Business School was also acknowledged in the magazine.

The article states, "Academic research and partnerships with universities are also important for NatWest. Krebbers is a visiting professor at the University of Strathclyde and co-authored analysis of the pricing dynamics of sustainability-linked bonds in one of many academic relationships."

In addition, a paper written by Professor Krebbers was referenced in the very recent NatWest Group 2024 Sustainability Report. The paper, in partnership with Copenhagen Business School also, analysed the pricing dynamics of sustainability linked bonds (SLBs). Published in the Journal of Financial Economics, this work sheds light on the key factors that influence the pricing of SLBs, offering both theoretical and practical insights that can be applied by issuers and investors in the market.
