Three SBS academics appointed to Climate Change Advisory Panel
Dimitris Andriosopoulos, Professor of Finance and the Founding Director of the Responsible Business Institute (ReBI) at Strathclyde Business School, has become a member of ClimateXChange’s Advisory Panel along with Iain Black, Professor of Sustainable Consumption, and Dr Steve Owens, Department of Accounting and Finance.
ClimateXChange (CXC) is one of four Scottish Government centres of expertise. They commission research on policy relevant questions across net zero and resilience for Scottish Government policy teams. The ClimateXChange’s Advisory Panel provides a research, advice and analysis service to policy teams at the Scottish Government and associated public agencies.
The panel is important in providing expertise and links across climate change mitigation, adaptation and just transition policy relevant topics. Advisory panel members can also get involved in individual research projects to advise on methodological approaches, research ethics and interdisciplinary research.
The first meeting of what is a new and extended panel will take place on September 18 at Edinburgh Climate Change Institute.
As well as discussing future plans, the panel will hear from Eann Munro, Scottish Government Deputy Chief Scientific Advisor for Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture.
