RegTech Innovation award for FRIL

The Financial Regulation Innovation Lab (FRIL) has been awarded the RegTech Innovation 2025 award at this year’s Scottish FinTech Awards.

The Scottish FinTech Awards were set up to celebrate the development of the Scottish Financial Technology ecosystem, with a series of awards categories designed to recognise outstanding individual and organisational achievements within the sector. With an independently accredited judging process and support from key industry stakeholders, the awards honour outstanding achievement across sectors.

The Financial Regulation Innovation Lab (FRIL) is a Glasgow based, and UK and globally recognised, centre of excellence in financial regulation, leveraging new technologies and the talent, expertise and experience that the Glasgow City Region boasts. It creates a unique environment to accelerate fintech innovation and adoption, bringing together FinTech entrepreneurs, large UK and global financial and professional services firms, regulators, universities, and the Third Sector. FRIL is a partnership between the University of Strathclyde, FinTech Scotland and the University of Glasgow.

This award is national recognition highlighting FRIL’s impact and the strength of work done in shaping the future of financial regulation and FinTech innovation.
