His research into Scotland’s economy was also covered in The Sunday Times in April in an article entitled ‘Myths and realities of North Sea Oil’: https://www.thetimes.com/article/aa34a4d1-3f28-471f-9361-c7213500427e

This relates to Professor MacKenzie’s co-authored paper examining Scotland's economy over the last 70 years. Working with Professor Graeme Roy, University of Glasgow, and Sandy Stewart, a former senior statistician for the Scottish Government, the work is billed as providing “for the first time, a full picture of the totality of Scotland’s economy over the last 70 years”.
