PhD student wins award for her research artwork
Eman Abdelfattah, a PhD student in the Department of Management Science, has been awarded a Highly Commended Judges' Award for her artwork entered in the Images of Collaboration competition.

Images of Collaboration is a competition and exhibition celebrating how Postgraduate Researchers experience, practise, and value collaboration in their research.
Through a single image and a short narrative, participants share how collaboration happens in practice - across disciplines, roles, institutions, sectors, and communities.
Delivered jointly by the Strathclyde Doctoral School and the Collaborative Cultures Programme, the initiative highlights collaboration as a lived, creative, and relational process at the heart of research and innovation.

Eman's research focuses on how artificial intelligence and innovative health can support more efficient, equitable, and patient-centred decision-making within the healthcare system.
Of her work, she said, "I have painted this original A4 acrylic artwork exploring the theme of collaboration in artificial intelligence for healthcare quality management in the NHS. I set it against a warm Glasgow sunset: four diverse professionals—a physician, AI engineer, PhD student, and a healthcare manager, who are gathered around a table, collaborating in inclusive and effective ways to deliver complex AI-healthcare quality management toward a central display."
