Computer labs
The SBS computer labs are located on the 2nd floor of the Stenhouse Wing, rooms SW2.03 (30 PCs) & SW2.05 (20 PCs).
These "SBS postgraduate" labs, are equipped with modern PCs running Windows 11, have printing facilities, WiFi access (for laptop and mobile users) and course software installed.
To log into either lab, use your username and password.
Virtual Computer labs
You also have access to our virtual computer labs. Based on Windows Virtual Desktop Technology, the virtual labs allow you to log in remotely to a computer lab PC, but from your own computer, tablet or phone, from on-campus or at home.
They have the University lab software installed, you can interact with local USB devices printers, but this also allows Apple Chrome and Android users access to Windows applications without the need to run emulators.

How do I print in the SBS labs
The printers in the SBS labs are part of the University student print system, allowing you to use your credits for printing, photocopying and scanning in the Library and in centrally-managed PC suites across campus.
You can use our multi-function devices (MFDs) to print, photocopy and scan. There is one colour MFD device located near each of our SBS computer labs.

Printing from your Windows Laptop or MacBook
Laptop users can print to the lab printers via the PaperCut printing site, where you can also add credit and check your balance.
Print credits
All students are allocated £1 print credit when they start their course.
How much are we charged for printing?
You are charged 5p per A4 mono page and 10p per A4 page for a colour print.
How do I check my balance and add more print credits?
You can check your balance and add more credit on the PaperCut printing site. Please don't buy more credit than you need. We can't refund unused credit at the end of your studies, and you can't transfer your credit to another student.
You can add credit to your card:
- With a credit or debit card at the PaperCut site.
- With a credit or debit card at the print kiosk on Level 3 of the Library
Paper for printers
If you find the SBS lab printer has run out of paper, there should be some packs available near each printer. If no paper is available, please contact Strathclyde Business School reception on Level 1 Stenhouse Wing for additional supplies.
