Network & WiFi
Wifi Network
The wi-fi network provided by the University is called eduroam and is available throughout the campus. Once you have set it up here, you can use your Strathclyde login credentials in thousands of locations across over 100 countries worldwide.
Eduroam is one of the only systems to use a different username. So to connect:
- Network Name (SSID): Eduroam
- Username: [Your DS username]@strath.ac.uk (e.g. abc12346@strath.ac.uk)
- Password: DS password
Connecting a laptop or mobile device to eduroam
For more detailed instructions on how to connect your phone, tablet or laptop to Eduroam, visit the Central IT Services WiFi page.
... and always remember to add @strath.ac.uk after your DS username or you will not be able to connect to eduroam.

Certain Android phones are not connecting to Eduroam cleanly, so here are some additional steps to try if you face an issue with an Android or Samsung phone
