ZOOM Breakout Rooms

Splitting up meetings into manageable groups

A great feature of ZOOM are its “Breakout Rooms”. Large numbers of participants (or students) within a meeting can be broken up into separate meeting (breakout) rooms to work together on tasks.

As the host, you control the number of rooms, who goes into what room, and you can move between rooms to review progress and join in the discussions. Zoom’s own video introduction to breakout rooms is available here.
