Questions and Answers:

Thank you for the information. Just to further clarify, if I am offered a schorlarship by September 1st, and due to covid restrictions and visa procedure, I am unable to arrive on campus before the programme begins, will i be able to join lectures and partake in courses online pending my arrival on campus? I live in Ghana, and it may take a while to obtain my visa. Is there a date by which I must have arrived on campus?
Elena Connell

Yes, we anticipate this will be an issue for a number of our international students. You may choose to stay in Ghana and attend online classes from home from 21st September. The latest date students can arrive on campus is 26th October as this when our blended learning will begin. This should hopefulyl give sufficient time to obtain your visa.

Hi Elena Connel, I have not received a notification from the university advising that I've not been considered for the scholarship, however I emailed one of the staff members to ask her if the University considered me for a scholarship and she said unfortunately you've not been considered for a scholarship.
Elena Connell

Thank you for clarifying. May I ask you to please email me directly so we can liaise with the department and perhaps see if there are any other scholarships that might be suitable for you? elena.connell@strath.ac.uk

My question is regarding the Coronavirus situation here in Glasgow. Providing that restrictions and social distancing measures are still in place by September, Will courses be taught on campus, online or will there be a mixture of the 2?
Elena Connell

The health and safety of our students and staff is our priotity and as such we have taken the decision to move classes online from 21st September to 26th October. From 26th October we will move to a blended learning model meaning that you will have a mixture of online and face-to-face classes. Please note that our intention is to have online classes live, not pre-recorded, which will allow you to interact with your lecturers and classmates. We will then hopefully move to a full timetable of face-to-face teaching in November if safe to do so. We will of course monitor the situation and act on advice given by the Scottish and UK governments. Hi, I'm delighted that I hold an offer to study MBM, however I have not been considered for a Scholarship, I'm a home student and on Universal credit, I'm asking if the University will consider another round for the Scholarships decisions or I'll not be able to get any Scholarship to pay my tuition fees? I have been awarded SAAS support however, it will help towards less than half of the tuition fees. Thanks
Elena Connell

Congratulations on your offer! Can I please ask if you received a notification that you have not been awarded a scholarship or if no information has been communicated at all?

Hello, I hold an offer to join your MSc. Human Resource Management programme in September. It is my understanding that I am not required to submit a separate application for Strathclyde's schorlarships, I am by default pooled into a list of applicants eligible for any schorlarships. Could you kindly give me an indication of when the final round of Business School schorlarships for September 2020 programmes will be offered, so I am guided accordingly. Thank you.
Elena Connell

Congratulations on your offer!

Yes, that is correct, all applicants are automatically considered for our master's scholarships. Successful applicants will be notified by 1st September if they have been awarded a scholarship.
