Strathclyde named Times Higher Education's University of the Year

The University of Strathclyde has been named the UK's University of the Year in the 2012 Times Higher Education Awards.

Strathclyde was chosen ahead of five other shortlisted institutions to take one of the highest accolades in higher education, and was praised for its close links with business and industry and its commitment to making an impact on the global economy.

Professor Susan Hart said, “We are delighted to be part of the university-driven success of being named Times Higher Education's University of the Year 2012, one of the highest accolades in higher education. Strathclyde was praised overall for its close links with business and industry and its commitment to making an impact on the global economy, which mirrors the business school's own guiding ethos.”
