Strathclyde MBA in global Financial Times' ranking

Strathclyde Business School has again been ranked in the prestigious Financial Times' global ranking of full-time MBA programmes.

Strathclyde is one of just 13 UK business schools to be included in the ranking of the top 100 programmes worldwide and our position at 80th globally also puts us in the top 25 of European business schools ranked. We are also the only Scottish business school to be ranked in the top 100. In total 159 business schools across the world took part in the process to be ranked.

Executive Dean Professor Susan Hart said, "We're delighted to be ranked again in the Financial Times. This and this is the latest ranking success for our Masters programmes. Our pre-experience Masters in Management, Masters in Finance and Executive MBA programmes have all been successfully ranked in the past year.

"Coupled with our very recent success in the Research Assessment Framework last month, which saw us rated in the top ten UK business schools for research and as the number one business school in Scotland, which also saw us being rated highly for research impact and research environment, this is a great start to 2015 for Strathclyde Business School."

This year's ranking was based on the full time MBA class of 2011. Each school must meet strict entry criteria including being internationally accredited. Strathclyde Business School is triple accredited by the three accrediting bodies, AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB.

Professor Hart added, "Accreditation is a requirement for being ranked in the FT and at Strathclyde we firmly believe that accreditation provides a comprehensive analysis and an objective measure of a business school's quality. In 2014 we were reaccredited by both AMBA and AACSB for the maximum five year period of reaccreditation. Along with our reaccreditation from EQUIS the year before, we continue to be a triple accredited school."

The Financial Times released The MBA Alternative Report from the Class of 2011 in conjunction with the official ranking.

In what was the second FT alternative MBA survey, the newspaper asked alumni from the MBA class of 2011 to tell them how they rated categories such as food, accommodation and the social life of their business schools. More than 1,860 respondents worldwide took part.
