SBS building reopening

Strathclyde Business School held an official launch of its new estate in early October following a £23.2 million transformation which involved the relocation of business school departments to one location.

As well as the relocation of business school departments to one building, the redevelopment included the creation of two new lecture theatres as well as tutorial rooms, a new reception area, and a postgraduate research area.

University of Strathclyde Principal Professor Sir Jim Macdonald welcomed guests to the event, and Executive Dean David Hillier provided an overview of Strathclyde Business School and its activities.

The invited audience included business partners who heard from representatives of the key research centres of excellence within the business school including the Fraser of Allander Institute (FAI), Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship, the Centre for Financial Regulation and Innovation (CeFRI), and the Scottish Centre for Employment Research (SCER), about the work they do and how they engage with business.

Sir Iain MacMillan, chair, SBS Advisory Board, thanked guests for attending and invited them to join the drinks reception.
