Strathclyde Business School gains maximum reaccreditation from EQUIS

Strathclyde Business School has been reaccredited by EQUIS for the maximum five year period, having undergone a rigorous review process which involves a peer review team of Deans from accredited schools assessing the business school against stringent international criteria.

The fundamental objective of EQUIS - one of three international accreditation bodies which also includes AMBA and AACSB - is to raise the standard of management education worldwide. EQUIS assesses an institution as a whole, not just degree programmes but it looks at research, executive education provision and community outreach. EQUIS is managed and run by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). Institutions accredited by EQUIS must demonstrate not only high general quality in all activities but also a high degree of internationalisation.

Accreditation is about excellent and continuous quality improved linked to the strategy, vision and leadership of the Business School.

Professor David Hillier, Executive Dean of Strathclyde Business School, said, "We are delighted that Strathclyde Business School has been reaccredited by EQUIS for the maximum five years. Thanks go to our staff, students, alumni and corporate colleagues who all played a part in the stringent reaccreditation process.

"The Business School first received EQUIS accreditation in 2001 and I'm pleased to say we have held it consistently since then. The rigorous process of accreditation ensures that what we offer here at Strathclyde is of the highest international standards which is testament to the professionalism of our staff at Strathclyde Business School and the excellent students who join us in their studies. For those thinking of coming to work or study at Strathclyde, accreditation stands as an independent benchmark of the quality of the school and the work that goes on here."

Strathclyde Business School is accredited by all three international organisations. As of March 2018, 176 business schools have been awarded EQUIS across 42 countries. For further information on EQUIS, please click here.
