New Strathclyde Women’s Leadership Experience launched

Strathclyde Business School has created a new, high-impact development programme designed to help women strengthen their leadership identity, accelerate their influence, and expand their professional reach.

The Strathclyde Women’s Leadership Experience is a comprehensive development experience devised to empower women to step confidently into leadership roles and amplify their impact within their organisations and beyond.

Structured over four in-depth modules, the programme addresses key dimensions of effective leadership through the lens of gender, identity, influence, and purpose. The learning journey captures four key learning pillars: self-awareness, integrating learning into practice, contextual insights and shared experiences.  

The programme - delivered face to face over eight weeks - is delivered across four immersive full-day sessions:

• Building Identity, Confidence and Leadership Presence

• Managing Conflict with Emotional Intelligence

• Leading Change with Influence and Impact

• Leading with Purpose and Reflection

The programme will equip participants with practical strategies which can be used immediately, while support is provided to shape a clear and confident progression plan. Participants will also join a powerful peer network of women leaders committed to supporting one another’s growth.

A standout feature is access to senior leaders from across sectors through guest sessions, fireside conversations and panel discussions. Many are part of Strathclyde’s STELAR network and have directly informed the programme’s design. Their involvement offers participants invaluable insight into diverse leadership journeys and helps build meaningful social capital.

The cohort model is equally central: drawing on Strathclyde’s expertise in cohort-based learning, the programme creates a trusted, collaborative environment that fosters deep peer learning, honest reflection and sustained professional support.
