Manikantha Nataraj & Bianca Pistorio are PhD students in the Department of Work, Employment and Organisation at SBS. Bianca's study is about the contemporary slavery in the agrobusiness, and its impact on traditional communities, in Brazil. She is also researcher member at the Centre for the Political Economy of Labour (CPEL) at the University of Strathclyde and researcher member of Nucleus of Environmental Studies and Worker's Health (NEAST), at Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT), Brazil. Manikantha's research interest is in labour studies, political economy and development studies. For his PhD, he studies the labour process in the Indian logistic sectors, its impact on working conditions and the prospect this sector holds for creating a decent and fair employment opportunity in India.
