Introducing the MSc in Global Sustainable Cities

By Richard Bellingham - Posted on 11 June 2015

Richard Bellingham, course Director of the MSc in Global Sustainable Cities, explains the unique aspects of the new masters which starts in September 2015.

Cities are very much at the heart of our ever-expanding world. The Institute for Future Cities’ research at the University of Strathclyde focuses on improving the quality of the urban experience, through developing a better approach to the use of city assets.

The MSc in Global Sustainable Cities at Strathclyde Business School is designed to create leaders who are able to meet the challenges faced by cities as they continue to shape and define the lives of an increasing number of the world’s population. We understand that having the right knowledge, expertise and experience is vital to improving the quality of life in cities and ensuring they are ambitious in their vision, key centres of innovation and, crucially, people-oriented.

In our new video, Course Director Richard Bellingham, introduces the MSc in Global Sustainable Cities programme, outlining what makes it innovative and unique. The course is open to full and part time students from a variety of relevant backgrounds.

Strathclyde Business School is also running a scholarship essay competition, open to applicants holding an offer on the course. More information can be found here: http://www.strath.ac.uk/business/scholarships/cities/. Closing date for submission is 17th July 2015.
