Student placement success

Students on the MSc Business Analysis and Consulting (BAC) course received excellent feedback from their internships which took place in January for the September cohort. A total of 67 students took part in the virtual internships.

North Lanarkshire Council said of student Akin Oyinfa-Davies: “Akin has been a pleasure to work with on this project. He had a tight brief and tight timescale. As we were working remotely, this added complexity to the project delivery. Akin had to liaise and engage professionally with a number of external partners including Skills Development Scotland and New College Lanarkshire. He also had to present his final survey to a range of senior officers within North Lanarkshire Council. Akin did this in a professional well-researched manner to a group he had not engaged with previously. We wish Akin well in his ongoing studies and future career. The survey is due to be published in early March and we will keep Akin advised of the outcome of this important piece of work to identify digital skills shortages within North Lanarkshire.”

Other organisations reported similar positive outcomes. Keep an eye on the SBS blog for more on the students and what they experienced as part of the placements.
