Strathclyde Business School's
MBA Newsletter June 2012

Welcome

As a prospective MBA student, you will be joining a top European business school which prides itself on being innovative, pioneering, strong on research and with high peer ratings and international accreditation. You know the facts – you've done the research yourself - but what is it like on the programme itself? To start off with, you can read the Strathclyde admissions blog which has a number of entries from staff and MBA students, which will give you some insight into what's on offer.

Another way of finding out more is via our monthly SBS e-newsletters which regularly include news of our successful, proactive students, and we have gathered together some articles about the school, the programme and our students, which you might find insightful.

Overall, it has been another busy year for our MBA students. Some have engaged in initiatives such as the MBA pitching panel in association with Strathclyde Entrepreneurial Network (SEN); some have taken part in external competitions and challenges; others have become involved in the entrepreneurial club; acted as class and social reps; taken part in overseas trips and electives, such as Lyon, and there has been an unprecedented amount of projects on offer from business, as well as the Scottish MBA Fair which was initially launched by SBS in 2008 and now runs annually. There has been a varied programme of guest speakers, away days, networking and social events throughout the year, of which you will get a flavour here.
