Director of Knowledge Exchange role for marketing professor

Professor John Finch of the department of marketing has been appointed as SBS's Director of Knowledge Exchange. He will report to Professor Tim Bedford, SBS's Vice-Dean Research and Knowledge Exchange. In what is a lively time across Strathclyde University for Knowledge Exchange, including of course SBS, Professor Finch will be working with the Vice Deans of Knowledge Exchange in the university's other faculties on developing the strategic role for knowledge exchange alongside research and education.

He will be fostering relationships within the University and among users of our research, to include Knowledge Transfer Professor FinchPartnerships, Knowledge Transfer Networks, the Strathclyde Links programme, Strathclyde's Knowledge Transfer Account award from the EPSRC, consultancy, and the many smaller-scale engagements that we have, to include student projects. As the Research Excellence Framework and the Research Council UK's funding bodies seek evidence of the impact of our research in society, knowledge exchange will become even more vital to the development of SBS and the University.
